Drown it in Merlot
chew it into sound-bites
swallow it with steak
your mashed potatoes and gravy.

Above all
be invisible as a god.

Wear a mask
a mask of words that trip

over each other and feel
nothing

words that smile
fictions

those happy endings
of blue skies and white clouds

those endings
that never end

garde-ta pensée secrète.
cache-la dans ton sourire de Joconde
dans tes mots trop longs qui ne vont nulle part

noie-la dans le Merlot.
mâche-la en commentaires brefs
avale-la avec mon steak
tes pommes purée et la sauce.

Surtout
sois invisible

invisible comme un dieu
porte un masque

un masque de mots qui se bousculent
et ne sentient rien

des mots qui s’amusent
de fictions

de fins heureuses
de ciels d’azur et de nuages d’ivoire

de fins qui
n’en finissent plus
